Noida International Airport aka Jewar Greenfield Airport Complete Details
Noida International Airport is the new greenfield airport at Jewar, which will increase connectivity to and from Noida, Delhi NCR, and Western UP. NIA, a confluent digital ace of Indian hospitality and Switzerland efficiency, is destined to become India’s leading airport in terms of outstanding efficiency customer-service, commitment, services and to the minimize environmental impact.
Noida International Airport is developed in 1334 hectares area at Jewar in the Yamuna Expressway International Development Authority (YEIDA) notified area of district Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. The airport Is located at about 52 kilometers from Noida, about 72 km from Indira Gandhi International Airport, about 130 kilometers from Agra and about 90 kilometers from MMLH ( Multi Modal Logistics Hub ) Dadri. With this airport all round development of the industrial infrastructure in the region is targeted and increase in employment opportunities is also projected.

Location of the Noida International Airport / Jewar Airport
The airport is located with the all weather approach roads in all directions. There is a 100 m width Yamuna Expressway and other 100 m wide Western Peripheral Expressway connecting Meerut, Manesar, Palwal, Baghpat and Ghaziabad. Land acquisition from five villages -Dayanatpur, Rohi, Ranhera, Parohi and Kishorpur – is planned in first phase of the Jewar Airport.

Cost of Noida International Airport / Jewar Airport
The work for the first phase of the greenfield project is under construction and it would cost over Rs 5,700 crore to complete. Total project cost of all 4 phase would cost 29560 crores. As per the CEO of YIAPL Christoph Schnellmann, the airport will be completed and ready for use by Sept. 2024.

Key Features of Noida International Airport / Jewar Airport
After construction of all 6 runways, it will be Asia’s and India’s largest airport and will be the fourth-largest airport in the world. It is also India’s first net-zero carbon emissions airport.
The project will be completed in 4 phases. As per Agreement, first phase for 1.20 crore passengers per year is to be completed and made operational by 29.9.2024.
The project will be implemented by Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL), which is a J-V(Joint venture) company. UP Government and Noida holds a share of 37.5% each in the company, other share is distributed between Greater Noida and YEIDA with 12.5%each.

Facilities at Jewar Airport
Passenger capacity: The NOIDA International Greenfield Airport, Jewar is constructed in four phases. Its starting capacity will be 1.20 crore passengers yearly, which is projected to increase to 7 crore passengers every year by 2050.
Runways: The airport will have 2, runways initially and will have 5 runways in subsequent years.
Cost: 30000 crore Rupees will be spent on construction of Jewar Airport .
Area:5,000 hectares of land is expected to be under Territory of Jewar Airport, so far the government has acquired 1,334 hec. of land. An additional 50 hec. of land will be acquired for the rehabilitation of those displaced due to the project. The remaining land would be acquired in a phased manner.
