The Amas Darbhanga Expressway, also known as NH-119D, is a 213-kilometer greenfield expressway project approved by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). It is designed as a 4-lane access-controlled highway in Bihar, connecting the outskirts of Aurangabad, Gaya, Patna, and Darbhanga.
As part of the Bharatmala Pariyojna initiative, this north-south expressway will traverse through the middle of Bihar, providing improved connectivity. The expressway will utilize sections of the ongoing Patna Outer Ring Road and the Kachchi Dargah-Bidupur Bridge projects. There are plans to extend the expressway further north to Jaynagar, near the Nepal border.
The project’s Detailed Project Report (DPR) was prepared by SA Infrastructure Consultants Pvt. Ltd. Land acquisition for the project commenced in 2020, and the environmental clearance is currently pending.
This project is also known as Aurangabad Darbhanga Expressway.
