Hyderabad Raipur Economic Corridor Project Information and Updates

Hyderabad Raipur Economic Corridor – Overview and Current Progress

The Hyderabad Raipur Economic Corridor, also referred to as the Hyderabad-Raipur Expressway, spans a distance of 568 kilometers. This under-construction road project by NHAI is designed as a 4-6 lane semi access-controlled highway, connecting the states of Telangana, Maharashtra, and Telangana.

As part of the Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase I program, construction is underway for this combination of brownfield and greenfield corridor, with the primary objective of enhancing the efficiency of freight movement and promoting exports.

The project consists of a series of separate highway upgrades, ranging from 4 to 6 lanes, that are interconnected to form the economic corridor. Notably, its greenfield section of 325 kilometers will establish the connection between Bellampalli, Gadchiroli, and Durg.

The northern terminal of this economic corridor will be located south of Bhillai on the Durg-Raipur-Arang Expressway. On the southern side, the corridor will be linked to Hyderabad’s Regional Ring Road (RRR) and Outer Ring Road (ORR).

While NHAI’s Detailed Project Report (DPR) is not yet available online, the completion deadline for this economic corridor is set for August 2025.
