Versowa Bandra Sea Link Bridge Project Complete Details & Information
Versowa Bandra Sea Link Bridge Project
- A need to construct the ring road for vehicular movement of traffic in Mumbai from North to South and from East to West and vice versa was always felt. The projected ring road will be formed by Eastern Freeway and will connect the Western Freeway at Nariman Point through Acharya Donge Marg. The Bandra – Worli Stretch is already completed and from Worli to Nariman Point being under implementation stage by MCGM.
- In the past few years there has been major development in the Western suburbs, specially around Borevali, Andheri, Goregaon, area and the road traffic has increased largely. From the past studies, it was found that about 50% of the vehicle going towards South Mumbai starts from suburbs beyond Bandra like Bandra, Andheri, Goregaon. After construction of Versowa – Bandra Sea Link, the vehicles of northern suburbs need not go on the city roads i.e., S.V. Road, Western Express Highway etc. and will divert some of the vehicular Movement to Versowa Bandra Sea Link Project.
