Odisha Capital Region Ring Road (CRRR) Project Details, Route Map and Updates

The Odisha Capital Region Ring Road (CRRR) is an approved 6-lane access-controlled highway project by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). It will encircle Bhubaneswar and Cuttack in Odisha, spanning a length of 110.87 kilometers.

The purpose of this 6-lane expressway is to provide a bypass route for vehicles on national highway NH-16, allowing them to avoid passing through Khordha town, Bhubaneswar, Athagarh town, Cuttack, and Choudwar town. The CRRR will connect Rameswar in Khurda district with Tangi.

The alignment of the CRRR was finalized in April 2021, and the process of land acquisition began in June 2022. However, the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the project is currently unavailable, and the foundation stone has not yet been laid.

Package Tenders and Contractors

NHAI initiated the tendering process for the construction works of the CRRR in October 2022, with a construction deadline of 2 years. The project has been divided into three packages, and bidding is currently underway for all three packages:
