The work of Delhi Meerut Expressway is done via 4 packages.
PKG-1: Nizamuddin bridge to Delhi-UP border (Length 8.716 KM)
PKG-2: 6-lane Expressway and 8-laning from Km. Km. 8.360 to Km. 27.740 (Delhi/ U.P. Border to Dasna (Length: 19.284 Km)
PKG-3: 6-laning of NH-24 from Km. 27.740 to Km. 49.346 (Dasna to Hapur) (Length:22.270 Km)
PKG_4:: Dasna to Meerut (Length: 31.770 Km) This section will be Greenfield Alignment.

Length and Route of Delhi Meerut Expressway
Delhi–Meerut Expressway will be India’s widest expressway connecting Meerut with Delhi via Dasna in Ghaziabad. The 8 lanes stretch of National Highway 9 up to Dasna is widened to 14 lanes(widest expressway in India).The length of Delhi Meerut Expressway is 96km.

Details of Pkg – 1 (Nizamuddin to U.P. Gate)
PKG-1: From Nizamuddin bridge to Delhi-UP border (8.716 km)
- It is a 14-lane highway
- Length:8.716 Km
- Contractor: M/s Welspun Delhi Meerut Expressway Private Limited (M/s Welspun Enterprises Ltd),
- Starting Date: 28.11.2016,
- Cost:-Rs 841.50 crore •
Key provisions: i) Cycle track of 2.5 m. wide on each side..
- ii) footpath of 2.0m on both side.
iii) One new flyover at UP border is constructed.
- iv) Vertical garden is constructed on the Yamuna bridge.
video) The lighting on the entire highway will be powered with solar system.
- vi) The watering of plants will be done with drip irrigation.
495 slums rehabilitation cost :-. 97 crore.
: • 3261 trees affected, CAMPA for 40000 trees at Tuglakabad Bio Diversity Park as a cost of Rs. 25 crore by DDA

PKG-2:6-lane Expressway and 8-laning (Delhi/ U.P. Border to Dasna (Length: 19.284 Km)
- Contractor: APCO and Chetak Ultraway Limited
Starting Date: 06.11.2017,
- Cost: Rs 1998 crore
Entry to Expressway : at Khoda, Crossing Republic and Near AKG Engineering College •
Exit from Expressway: Near AKG Engg. College.
- i) Cycle Track of 2.50 m wide and Footpath of 2.00 m wide in entire length on either sides
- ii) 13 VUP (Vehicular Underpasses), 4 Light Vehicle passes, 1 Flyover at lalkuan.
iii) 2 Major Bridges at Hindon Cut Canal and , Hindonriver.

- 6-lane Highway + 2-lane Service Roads on on either side.

- 1 Major bridge
