Details About Neom Mega Project Worth 500 Billion USD
The Neom Project is a planned metropolis in Saudi Arabia’s Tabuk Province, in the northwestern part of the country. It will be equipped with smart city technology and will serve as a tourist attraction. North of the Red Sea, east of Egypt across the Tiran Strait, and south of Israel and Jordan, the site is located. It will encompass a total area of 26,500 km2 (10,200 sq mi) and stretch for 460 kilometers along the Red Sea’s coast.
By 2025, Saudi Arabia hopes to have completed the first segment of Neom. The total cost of this mega project is anticipated to be worth $500 billion US dollars.

The Line Project
In Jan 2021, the project announced plans for The Line Project, a 170 Kms (110 mile) long linear metropolis within the Neom area with a population of 1 million who will not have access to conventional vehicles.
Neom Bay Project
Neom Bay, the project’s first phase, was set to begin development in the first quarter of 2019 and be finished by 2020. Construction of an airport at Sharma, which would run frequent commercial flights between Riyadh and Neom, was one of the planned developments. As part of phase 1 of the Neom Bay development plan, the first residential neighborhood in Neom will be built.

After the first phase of the airport, with a runway length of 3,757 meters, was completed in June 2019, it was reported that the Neom Bay Airport would begin receiving commercial flights (12,326 ft). The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has assigned the code NUM to the airport that is scheduled to be built in Neom Bay.
Neom Oxagon Industrial City Project
Neom Industrial City (NIC) lies about 25 kilometers (16 miles) north of Duba, and it spans 200–250 square kilometers (77–97 square miles) of territory, with the NIC occupying around 40 square kilometers (15 square miles). The project will concentrate on contemporary manufacturing and industrial research, as well as development centered on the Duba port expansion.
Agriculture Project
Neom intends to convert 6,500 hectares (16,000 acres) of adjacent land to agricultural fields, with a heavy reliance on genetically modified crops.
Neom International Airport Project
The entire Development Area of Neom International Airport Project is 20.2 square kilometers. 6,600 m in length and 3,061 m in width. The project is currently in progress.
