Surat Solapur Expressway
The Surat-Solapur Economic Corridor, also known as the Surat-Solapur Expressway or Surat – Nashik – Ahmednagar – Solapur Economic Corridor, is a 564 km, 6 lane partially access-controlled highway that will connect the states of Gujarat and Maharashtra. The project is being developed under the Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase-2 program with a deadline of December 2025 and is expected to cost Rs. 30,000 crore.

The project is a mix of both brownfield-upgrade and greenfield sections, with the greenfield section spanning 290.7 km from Surat to Ahmednagar. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is the owner of the project and it is being developed using the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) .It makes up the 1271 km northern segment of the Surat-Chennai Expressway.
The project’s current status is in the design preparation and land acquisition phase. Tenders for construction have not yet been published, but when they are, they will be updated in this blog.
