The proposed semi-high speed rail line, Hyderabad Metro’s Airport Express Line, will connect Mindspace Junction and Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad with 10 stations in between. The 32 km line is a part of Hyderabad Metro Phase 2 project, funded by Telangana Government and executed by HAML.

The project’s DPR was prepared by DMRC in 2018-19 and the line is expected to be completed in 2030. The line will consist of 3 coach trains with a maximum speed of 120 kmph and will be operated with a cost of Rs. 6,250 crore. The stations along the line include Minspsace Junction, Bio-Diversity Junction, Nanakramguda, Narsingi, TS Police Academy, Rajendranagar, Shamshabad, Airport Cargo, and Airport Terminal.

The Upcoming Nagpur-Vijayawada Expressway project is a 405 kms long greenfield corridor approved by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) & will run through Maharashtra, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States. The project is part of the ambitious BharatmalaPariyojana Phase-1 program & aims to improve the efficiency of freight movement and boost exports via port connectivity.

The project is expected to be completed by 2027 with a total estimated cost of Rs. 14,666 crore, and will be constructed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM). While the NHAI has not yet made the project’s Detailed Project Report (DPR) available online, it is expected to enhance the economic growth of the region.

The Mumbai-Hyderabad High-Speed Rail project’ aka Hyderabad Mumbai bullet is a proposed 767 km high-speed rail line mega project that will conne]ct Mumbai, Pune, and Hyderabad through 11 stations in Maharashtra and Telangana. The proje ct will be a key link in India’s high-speed rail line network, along with the Mumbai-Ahmedabad line. It is set to be the third high-speed rail line project of India involving Mumbai & will significantly reduce the travel time between the two cities.

The terminal for the corridor may be built in Navi Mumbai and will be integrated with the currently under-construction international airport. Besides the airport, it will be linked with Navi Mumbai’s metro and the connectivity will expand with a connection to the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link. The gov of India plans to build six new high-speed rail corridors, & the Mumbai-Hyderabad High-Speed Rail project is the fifth, with basic tendering activity commencing in October 2020 to start construction.

Telangana State-Super Thermal Power Project is a coal-based power plant currently under construction with a power capacity of 1600 MW in the first phase and a planned capaci]ty of 4000 MW in Telangana, India. It is being built near Ramagundam village in Karimnagar District, and it is the coal-based power plant of the National Thermal Power Corporation.

This thermal power project is being constructed in two phases, and the under-construction first phase comprises a 1.6GW (2x800MW) coal-based power plant with supercritical technology. The second phase will add 2.4GW to the project by including three 800MW units. The project is being developed by the NTPC with an investment of Rs118.11bn. The project requires 19,333 acres of land and has an estimated budget of Rs. 16,395 crores.

The expected investment potential is Rs. 64,000 crores and the expected annual export potential is Rs. 58,000 crores, creating direct employment for 150,000 people and indirect employment for 500,000 people. The Pharma City project aims to create an integrated pharma manufacturing ecosystem consisting of NIMZ Manufacturing Units, a Pharma University, a Research & Development Center, and a living Township. The project will be located in the Kandukur, Yacharam, and Kadthal Mandals in Ranga Reddy District.

The Warangal Metro, also known as Metro NEO, is a proposed 17km electric trolleybus rapid transit system for Warangal, Kazipet, and Hanamkonda in Telangana, with an estimated cost of Rs. 1100 crore. Electric bus coaches, which are 25 meters long and run on rubber wheels, will be used on this system, with a maximum passenger capacity of 250 per trip.

The coaches will draw power from an overhead electrical system on elevated portions and use battery-power while operating on road sections. The detailed project report for Warangal Metro NEO Phase 1 has been prepared by Urban Mass Transport Company Limited, with inputs from other stakeholders such as TSRTC, Police, Transport, and NPDCL, and will be finalized by GWMC before it is submitted to the state government for approval.

The Hyderabad Regional Ring Road (RRR) is a proposed 340 km four-lane access-controlled expressway project by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), connecting the towns of Sangareddy, Toopran, Choutuppal, Amangal, and Shankarpally. The project will be developed in two parts, northern and southern, under the government’s Bharatmala Pariyojana (BMP) Phase-I program.

The Telangana Government plans to cover 50% of its land acquisition cost and has allocated Rs. 750 crore in its 2021-2022 budget. The total estimated-cost of the project is Rs. 17,000 crore, and the northern half, spanning approximately 164 km, is expected to cost Rs. 9,500 crore and connect various towns, while the southern half of the ring road, spanning approximately 182 km, is expected to cost Rs. 6,480 crore and connect other towns.

The project’s primary goal is to improve the efficiency of freight movement and boost exports under the Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase I program.

The economic corridor consists of a series of separate 4 lane highway upgrades strung together, with 242 km of its route work already completed as of April 2022. The project’s Detailed Project Report (DPR) is not yet available online, and the economic corridor is planned to be completed by 2025 under the EPC Project Model.
