Polavaram Lift Irrigation Project
The Polavaram Project is located in Polavaram, Eluru district in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. The project is aimed at providing hydroelectric power, irrigation, and water supply. It is currently under construction and the construction began in 2004 with an expected opening date of July 2025. The project is owned by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and will be operated by Andhra Pradesh.

The project includes a concrete spillway, a non-over flow concrete dam, and an earth cum rock fill dam which impounds the Godavari River. The project will create the Polavaram Reservoir which has a total capacity of 194 tmcft at FRL 150 ft msl. The project will also have a power station with 12 turbines and an installed capacity of 960 MW, with an expected commission date of 2026. The project’s annual generation is 2.29 billion kWh. The total cost of the project, including the power station, is estimated to be approximately 60,000 crores.
Visakhapatnam Chennai Industrial Corridor
The Visakhapatnam–Chennai Industrial Corridor (VCIC) project is a major part of India’s first coastal-corridor, the East Coast Economic Coridor (ECEC). The VCIC spans almost 800 kilometers and runs through nine districts in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It links India with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and East Asian economies, and is seen as a critical driver of India’s Act East Policy and Make in India campaign.

The VCIC supports the Indian government’s efforts to develop industrial corridors of international standards to expand the manufacturing and services sectors and create modern urban centers with state-of-the-art infrastructure. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is the lead partner for developing the ECEC, and the VCIC is its first phase. ADB has identified four industrial nodes as integral components of the economic corridor development, which are the Visakhapatnam, Machilipatnam, Donakonda, and Yerpedu-Srikalahasti nodes. The goal of these nodes is to support industries through comprehensive infrastructure support and a business-friendly environment.
Bengaluru Vijayawada Expressway
The BKV Expressway, also known as the 518 km Bengaluru-Vijayawada Expressway project, is a proposed partially access-controlled roadway between Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. By 2026, the project, which will be built under Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase 2, is anticipated to have cost a total of Rs. 19,320 crore. The project will have a mix of brownfield-upgrade and greenfield sections, with a length of 624 km & 4-6 lanes. The project will consist of three sections, including a brownfield upgrade from Bengaluru to Kodikonda, a greenfield section from Kodikonda to Addanki, and another brownfield upgrade from Addanki to Vijaywada. The lanes will be 3.75m wide, with 3m paved or 2m unpaved shoulders and a 19.50m depressed median.

Visakhapatanam Light Metro
Visakhapatnam Metro rail project is a proposed rapid transit system , which aims to provide an efficient public transport system and reduce traffic congestion. The system will comprise a combination of metro and tram and is set to be the world’s largest metro project in a PPP model. Initially proposed for a length of 42.55 km, the system is now being expanded to cover more routes in the city and the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Regional Development Authority area. The government is currently preparing a Detailed Project Report for a Light Metro Rail system covering 79.9 km and a modern Catenary Free Tram system covering 60.2 km.

Vijayawada Light Metro
The proposed Vijayawada Metro rail peoject is aimed at reducing traffic congestion in the city. The project consists of three corridors which will be built in three phases, covering a total of 65-kilometers. The project was initially planned as a heavy-rail based mass rapid transit system (MRTS) but was later changed to a light-rail transit system (LRT) due to cost &low ridership projections. The proposed LRT system will have two lines and 51 stations, with the estimated cost of the project being Rs. INR15,000 crore. The project is currently awaiting approval from the state government.

Ramayapatnam Port
The Ramayapatnam port in AndhraPradesh, India is being developed by the government as part of three greenfield minor seaports, and is considered the best connected of the three. The port has been designed to initially handle 25 million tons of cargo per year, with capacity of up to 138 million tons when fully developed. It will accommodate ships weighing up to 80,000 DWT in Phase-I and up to 15 berths in total when larger carriers like cape-size and Panamax vessels can come in. The project is estimated to cost ₹3,560 crore with a debt-equity ratio of 58:42 and internal rate of return of 18.99%.

The primary hinterland will be the erstwhile Nellore, Prakasam, Guntur and Kurnool districts in Andhra Pradesh and Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Rangareddy and Hyderabad in Telangana. The secondary hinterland covers YSR Kadapa, Chittoor, Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh, Medak and other areas of Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Karnataka. The Ramayapatnam Port Development Corporation Limited, a joint venture of Navayuga Engineering Company Limited and Aurobindo Realty & Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd, is constructing the breakwaters and performing other civil works to complete the project in 36 months with the goal of bringing in the first ship by early 2024.
Vijayawada Airport New Terminal
The AAI is developing a new integrated terminal building at Vijayawada International Airport. The terminal will cover an area of 35,000m² and cost ₹ 611 crores ($86 million). The new terminal is designed to handle 1,200 passengers daily, with separate facilities for domestic and international passengers. The terminal will have 24 check-in counters, five conveyor belts, 14 immigration counters, three customs counters, eight gates, and six aerobridges that can accommodate large widebody aircraft.

The new terminal will have parking facilities for an additional 1,250 cars. Currently, the airport has 2 separate terminals for domestic & international passengers, with the international terminal accommodating only up to 500 passengers at any point in time. The new terminal, which is under construction, is expected to be completed by the end of the current fiscal year and will have a different entrance and roadway from the NH. near Kesarapalli village. ThIs airport project is expected’ to be fully completed by 2024.
Bengaluru Chennai Expressway
The Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway (BCE) is a greenfield project connecting Hoskote in Karnataka to Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu. It is a 260.85-kilometer access-controlled’ expressway that is currently under construction, including 75.64 km in Karnataka, 88.30 km in Andhra Pradesh, and 98.32 km in Tamil Nadu. The project, which was first announced in 2011, is presently being constructed through the Bharatmala Pariyojana programme. The project’s anticipated cost is Rs. 17,000 crore, with a completion date of December 2025. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) will own the BCE, which will feature four lanes that can be expanded to eight.

Chittoor Thatchur Expressway
The Chittoor-Thatchur Expressway, approved by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), is a greenfield project for a 116.1 km six-lane access-controlled corridor connecting Keenatampalli near Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh to Thatchoor near Ponneri and Ennore in Tamil Nadu. This highway will link the Bangalore-Chennai Expressway near Chittoor with the Chennai Peripheral Ring Road, with which 10.45 km will overlap, bringing the total project length to 126.550 km.
The project was approved for construction under the Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase 1 program, and its estimated cost is Rs. 3,197.56 crore. The project is currently in the land acquisition and bidding stage, and the deadline for completion is December 2024. The NHAI owns the project, which follows the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) model.

NH365BG Devarapalle Khammam 4 Lane Greenfield Highway
The proposed National Highway is a greenfield alignment project, proposed for a 4-lane carriageway width with paved shoulders. The highway will start from Khammam in the state of Telangana to Devarapalli in the state of Andhra Pradesh with a total length of 162.126 km. The project will pass through 62 villages, affecting 31 villages each in Khammam and West Godavari districts.
The total area of land acquisition is 1073.53 hectares, out of which 989.06 hectares are private land. The proposed project will have 9 major bridges, 45 minor bridges, 1 ROB, 23 VUP, 10 LVUP, 47 SVUP, and 61 PUPs. The project will require a right of way of 60 meters. The total project cost, including land, is estimated to be approximately Rs. 3554.35 crores.

Four-lane access-controlled highway from Chillakuru Cross Road to Turpu Kanupur & Six-laning of Naidupeta (Greenfields) to Turpu Kanupur Highway
The Indian central government has granted administrative approval for two road infrastructure projects worth Rs. 2,308.31 crore in Andhra Pradesh under the Bharatmala project on Hybrid Annuity Mode. The two projects will involve the construction, widening, and up-gradation of National Highways in Tirupati district that connect Chillakuru cross to Turpu Kanupur and Naidupeta to Turpu Kanupur village in Chillakur Mandal.
The first project, costing Rs. 909.47 crore, involves the construction of a 36.05 km, four-lane access-controlled highway from Chillakuru Cross Road to Turpu Kanupur via Chintavaram. The second project, costing Rs. 1,398.84 crore, involves the six-laning of a highway from Naidupeta to Turpu Kanupur, totaling 34.881 km. These highway construction projects will bring industrial development, create employment opportunities, and improve productivity in the underdeveloped region.

6-lane bypass from Km 0.000 (Chinna Avutupalli) to Km 30.000 (Gollapudi) as a part of Vijayawada Bypass Section of NH-16 (Pkg-III)
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has been given the responsibility of converting a 30 km stretch of road into a 6-lane with paved shouldr configuration, serving as -a bypass for Vijayawada city in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The project, known as Package III, will run from Chinna Autupalli village (Km 0.000) to Gollapudi village (Km 30.000) in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. The project is titled “Six Laning of Vijayawada Bypass from China Autupalli (Design Ch.0.000) to Gollapudi (Design Ch.30.000) in Vijayawada – Gundugolanu section of NH-16 in the State of Andhra Pradesh under Bharatmala Pariyojana on Hybrid Annuity Mode” and costs INR 1225 crores.

The conversion of the stretch into a 6-lane highway is expected to reduce traffic and pollution in Vijayawada, while also saving time and distance for road users. The Krishna district, which has an area of 8,727 km2 and a population of 45,29,009 as per 2011 census of India, is located in the Coastal Andhra region of Andhra Pradesh and is bordered by West Godavari, the Bay of Bengal, Guntur, and Telangana.
4-Lane highway from Kadapa-Renigunta
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways have approved a project to four-lane NH-716 from Kadapa to Chinna Orampadu for the districts of YSR Kadapa and Annamayya in Andhra Pradesh with a budget of Rs 1,732.66 crore. The project is part of the Solapur-Chennai Economic Corridor and once completed, it will result in reduced travel time and substantial gains in terms of vehicle operating costs, as well as economic development in the surrounding areas of the stretch.
This highway will also provide faster and safer connectivity to commuters, substantially reducing the travel time between Kadapa and Renigunta. Additionally, the project will reduce traffic congestion and give a boost to existing tourism and pilgrimage, benefiting the local economy..

Raipur–Visakhapatnam Expressway
Raipur-Visakhapatnam Economic Corridor, also known as the Raipur-Vizag Expressway, is a’ 464 km-access-controlled 6-lane road connecting Chhattisgarh, Odisha, & Andhra Pradesh. The project is part of the Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase-I program, with financing from the Asian Development Bank, aimed at improving freight movement and boosting exports. The National Highways Authority of India is overseeing the project, with Yongma Engineering Co. Ltd. and Arkitechno Consultants preparing the detailed project report.
The project is being constructed using the Hybrid Annuity Mode and is expected to be completed by 2025. Upon completion, the highway will reduce travel time from 14 hours to about 7 hours, and the distance from Raipur to Vizag will decrease from 590 km to 464 km. The greenfield alignment passes through Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh. Throughout its stretch, the expressway will cover 124.611 km in Chhattisgarh, 262.211 km Odisha, and 99.629 km in Andhra Pradesh.

Energy Cloud Storage Platform, Kurnool
Greenko Group is undertaking the world’s largest Integrated Renewable Energy Storage Project in the Kurnool district, which is part of the largest ‘Energy Cloud Storage Platform’ that aims to achieve 50 GWh daily storage capacity by 2025 and 100 GWh by 2027. The project is crucial for energy transition and green molecule production and contributes to India’s goal of achieving 500 GW renewable energy capacity by 2030.
