The State Government proposed this joint funding arrangement to the Federal Government last year, with the aim of completing the sealing of the Western Australian section of the highway by 2030.

Once completed, the North-South Corridor will be 78km long, stretching from Gawler in the north to Old Noarlunga in the south.
